On February 5, 2025, the scientific committee of the BSB 00168 – Know What You Breathe: Mobilizing Communities for Air Quality in the Black Sea Basin (AIRQUEST) project convened in Varna, Bulgaria. Hosted by the Bulgarian Association for Transfer of Technology and Innovation (BATTI), the meeting brought together representatives from Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (ZBEUN), Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University (ONU), Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA), BATTI and Galati Tehnopol Association (GTA). During the meeting, participants collaborated on planning future activities and developing project outputs, ensuring the continued progress of the AIRQUEST project.

- Seminar Planning
Objectives and expected outcomes for seminars targeting local authorities, the public, and driving centers were identified. Seminar topics were refined through brainstorming with all partners. - Logistics & Implementation
Necessary equipment, software for seminars, and digital data-sharing platforms were identified. All partners decided on the timeline for seminar implementation in partner countries. - Outreach & Promotion
Engagement strategies for local authorities, NGOs, and educational institutions, as well as strategies for promoting the seminars, were developed.
A brief overview of the project outcomes and results achieved so far, presented by the LP. The role and responsibilities of the Scientific Committee were outlined, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the scientific accuracy of the air quality monitoring system and making methodological recommendations.
