A: BSB AirQuest is a free air quality monitoring app that provides real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) data for the Black Sea Basin region and worldwide. - Q: Is the app free?
A: Yes, completely free with no ads or in-app purchases. - Q: Which countries are supported?
A: Primary focus on Black Sea Basin (Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine), with worldwide access available.
Location & Data - Q: Why does the app need my location?
A: We use your location only to find the nearest air quality monitoring station. Location data is not stored or tracked. - Q: Can I use the app without location permission?
A: Yes! You can manually search for cities worldwide using the search feature. - Q: Where does the air quality data come from?
A: We use data from WAQI (World Air Quality Index) with over 10,000+ global monitoring stations. - Q: How often is the data updated?
A: Air quality data is updated in real-time from monitoring stations (typically every 15-60 minutes).
Features - Q: What is the SOS button?
A: The SOS button is a quick-dial shortcut that opens your phone’s dialer with an emergency number (default: 112). You must press “Call” to complete the call. - Q: How do I disable the SOS button?
A: Go to Settings → Emergency SOS → Toggle off - Q: What languages are supported?
A: Turkish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and English. - Q: How do notifications work?
A: Enable notifications in Settings to receive alerts when air quality category changes (e.g., Good → Moderate) at your saved favorite locations.
Privacy - Q: Does the app track my data?
A: No. We do not track users, store personal data, or show advertisements. Your privacy is our priority. - Q: Is my location data shared?
A: Location is used only to query air quality APIs. It’s not stored or linked to your identity.
Troubleshooting - Q: No stations found in my area?
A: Try searching for nearby cities manually using the search feature. - Q: App crashes or doesn’t load data?
A: Check your internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app. - Q: Notifications not working?
A: Ensure notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications and in iOS Settings → BSB AirQuest → Notifications - Q: Map not loading?
A: Map requires internet connection. Check your connection and try again.
